Jamie Barrett BSc (Hons) MSc MCIOB MAPM
Managing Director

Jamie has considerable experience in the construction industry. He has worked for some of the top construction companies including Carillion and Balfour Beatty before becoming Managing Director of Evolution5.

Currently he is Chairman of the Hampshire & IOW Chartered Institute of Building Novus Committee, committee member of Hampshire & IOW Institute of Directors and has strong ties with the Institution of Chartered Surveyors Hampshire & IOW Matrics Group.

Darren Foy BSc (Hons) BA (Hons) MRICS
Commercial Director

Darren is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 15 years experience. His expertise is in the procurement and commercial management of construction projects across a wide spectrum under various forms of contract. He is a commercially astute individual and has demonstrated strong negotiating skills throughout his career.

Darren has experience of healthcare, having worked with some of the Primary Care Trusts in London. His particular focuses is on transport and infrastructure, having experience of working on Highways Agency, Docklands Light Railway and various local authority projects. He is currently involved with the construction of a cable car system.

Darren is actively involved with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors both locally and nationally. He is Chairman of the Hampshire Local Association, serves as a member of the RICS matrics UK Council and the RICS Council of England. He is also an APC Assessor for the Quantity Surveying and Construction Pathway.

Phil Moss MCIOB
Construction Director

Phil has vast experience in the construction industry. Having been Managing Director and Regional Director of two top construction companies, Phil has been involved in delivering many complex and challenging projects. He particularly focuses on defence and education contracts and is familiar with BSF, PFI, PPP and local frameworks. Phil heads up the project management team which is responsible for all defence and education contracts.

Phil is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and is actively involved with the Chartered Institute of Building Hampshire & IOW Novus Group.

Andy Ormston BSc (Hons) MRICS MAPM ACIOB
Commercial Manager

Andy has been with Evolution5 since it established in 2007 and has a wealth of knowledge in commercial management. He has been Managing Director for a leading management contracting firm and has worked for top construction companies including Wates, Wilmot Dixon, Alfred McAlpine and Mansell.

He is currently a member of the Hampshire & IOW Chartered Institute of Building’s Novus Committee and has strong ties to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Hampshire & IOW Matrics Group.

Stuart Gibson BSc (Hons)
Commercial Manager

Stuart is an experienced Commercial Manager with a quantity surveying background. He has over 15 years experience working for client, main contracting and subcontracting organisations. Stuart is a real asset to the Evolution5 Team and brings a wealth of experience dealing with challenging contracts and commercial situations. He particularly focuses on defence and education contracts and is familiar with BSF, PFI, PPP and local frameworks. Stuart heads up the cost management team which is responsible for all defence and education contracts.
